Humans are beautiful creators.
We create all kinds of things with time and energy. From technology to poetry to architecture. Look at the world we live in. It’s filled with amazing creations.
Most of our creations start from one. One person who takes action on one idea.
It’s easy and common to create things alone.
Many people start alone because it enables them to go fast. They continue creating alone because it offers total control. It’s totally fine to continue creating alone.
However, creating alone usually only gets us so far. It has constraints and limits.
Expansion is realized by co-creating.
That’s where we enable more growth and impact. That’s where the best ideas become world-changing missions, movements and initiatives.
Creating together is where the magic happens.
Yet many co-creators struggle…
- They get stuck in the weeds of process, decisions and control.
- Things become overwhelming, more complicated, too chaotic and unsustainable.
- Blame is directed and excuses are made.
And to be clear, we make it that way.
We commit to unconscious co-creation together.
Businesses fail every day in the practice of unconscious co-creation. Organizations fall apart. Teams become divided.
So what if there was a better way?
What if it was easy, clear and fluid?
What if we created together consciously?
I think there’s a recipe for that.
Alignment
It all starts with alignment. Are you aligned with the other co-creators? Are you clear on your gifts, your role and your shared vision? Are you really aligned?
Have you invested enough time to even know?
Real alignment takes time.
It doesn’t happen over a coffee or quick Zoom call. Real alignment is a path to walk and a test to pass.
- It’s a relationship of deeper discovery.
- It filters out the intellectual and emotional attachments.
- It brings clarity and focus to the true spirit of co-creation.
Real alignment comes from a collective type of energy.
Which leads to abundance.
Abundance
Do you have abundant energy to co-create? Energy that’s rooted in love, not fear. There is an important difference here.
Creating from fear will flow from the ego and try to control things. It will craft stories and plans to protect and survive.
Creating from love will flow from the heart and seek to continue learning. It will share openly and creatively to expand what’s being created.
Abundant energy gives more than it takes.
- It thrives from curiosity and courage.
- It dances with fear and then lets it go.
- It’s confident, strong and resilient.
Abundant energy will guide us.
And with abundance, there must be agreements.
Agreements
Have you defined clear agreements with your co-creators? Agreements that communicate what you want, need and are willing to do.
This goes beyond statements and expectations.
Are you consciously committed to work and play together? Can you embrace the journey of co-creation while honoring the human? Will you hold space when things get hard, messy and real?
Clear agreements come when we’re fully expressed.
- When we show up, lean in and speak our truth.
- When we commit to conscious presence.
- When we co-create from a place of integrity.
Clear agreements will ground us.
